The model highlights Thomas Kilmann<\/b> Highlighting five basic behaviors by which humans deal with conflict:<\/p>\n Competition:<\/b> Seeking profit at the expense of others.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Collaboration:<\/b> Finding a solution that satisfies all parties (which is the focus we are on to build a sustainable peace).<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Compromise:<\/b> Mutual compromise to reach a middle ground.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Avoiding:<\/b> Postponing confronting the problem.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n Accommodating:<\/b> Sacrificing self-interest to please others. Understanding these patterns allows activists and decision-makers to choose the optimal approach for each societal context in order to defuse crises before they escalate.<\/p>\n<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n Hate speech is the primary fuel for conflicts, and confronting it requires more than just exclusion or prohibition; it necessitates a strategic approach. \u201cAlternative and softened narratives\u201d<\/b>. This strategy relies on creating positive, civic, and humane content that dismantles stereotypes and replaces the language of exclusion with one of empathy and shared responsibility. Instead of engaging in unproductive digital conflicts, this alternative narrative presents facts and stories that highlight common ground and peaceful coexistence.<\/p>\n The ultimate goal of active citizenship is to translate theoretical awareness into practical action. Through workshops, participants learn how to transform ideas into organized community initiatives. It begins by identifying a clear local problem (such as the spread of misinformation in a specific area), then developing a flexible action plan, mobilizing youth energy, and implementing activities that promote social cohesion.
